Upper Kananakis Lake was in good skate skiing shape in the morning but was looking wetish in the afternoon. Good travel up to Aster lake on powder and plasticy crust. Lots of wind slab in the alpine and treeline on all aspects. On are descent, on polars there was variable wind slab above 2200m and good schmoooe skiing below. Exit out three Ilse trail was mostly supportive but punchy in places. A few cornice triggered persistence slabs or wind slabs to size 2 in the last 24 hrs.
