Weather

8-10cm new snow since Thursday. Light rain in Crystal Valley in AM; a few snow flurries by late afternoon in Yule Creek. Gusty and variable winds all day. 20+ mph and blowing snow at ridgelines, but swirling/ eddying around below treeline. Mild temps, but didn't feel above freezing.

Snowpack

Tracks from previous days drifted in. In exposed/ x-loaded areas, some F+-4F wind slab up to 10cm thick but not reactive. Mild temps have had noticeable effect on near surface snow since 1/28. Settled and consolidated (4F hardness). 1/28 SH and NSF not preserved well enough to make for widespread PWL.
