Weather

Overcast skies, light snow and calm winds. observed freeze level at approx. 8000'. Temps near and above freezing during ski adventure.

Snowpack

4-6" new snow on melt freeze crusts on NE-E-S aspects. HS average 1 meter. observed 2 1cm facet layers in multiple locations/aspects in top 1/3 of snowpack. Found that the snowpack on NE-E to S aspects was very moist under new snow to ground-- up to 100cm.. strange ?

multiple skier triggered loose/storm snow small slides with no propagation on E slopes mid 30 deg below treeline.
