Weather

Thin cloud cover broken to overcast, but still allowed some short wave radiation to affect the snow surface. Light W winds w/ moderate gusts.

Snowpack

Baseline profile at pass level in open meadow. HS 123cm w/ HN 7-9cm in past 48hrs. Snow surface was dry on flat to shaded slopes, but became moist on sunny slopes in afternoon. Well developed Facets and Depth Hoar in lower half of snowpack. Of note was buried surface hoar 29cm below the surface. Multiple compression tests produced either no results, or results not indicating potential for propagation on Buried Surface Hoar (CTM (B)) and Depth Hoar near the ground. Did not perform large column tests. See profile graph.
