Weather
Overcast, snowy and cold with a stiff north wind in the AM. Turning milder under clearing skies after 11. Winds remained brisk above treeline through the day.
Snowpack
Last night's fast and furious storm dropped 18"/1.5" h20 on top of RMP. Thankfully this came with a hard freeze (temps in the teens) so new snow fell on a solid (frozen isothermal) foundation. We did not find persistent week layers, though we did find a weak interface within the new snow. This produced easy shears ~6 cm above the old snow surface.
