Weather
very light flurries all day, 1/4in accumulation of goose feathers during the day. fairly mild temperatures and very light winds out of the NE. orographic and maybe even convective clouds moving through all day, spitting rimed snow, obscuring vis at times.
Snowpack
Snowpack was very loud and quite active today, with dozens of audible is visible collapses all day on all aspects except direct south facing slopes. Collapses seemed more dynamic and snappy today, knocking the few inches of new snow off of tree and willow branches. snow has settled a few inches since sunday, initial 6" of warm that snow that fell at start of storm has firmed up to 1F hardness, and backing up to F harness on surface. Only received 3" or so from last nights storm, quite low density. snow on SE-S-SW aspects seemed to have a bit of RR going on today, with the surface snow very light and low density, but the 3-4" below the surface had become gloppy, and on SE aspects descended mid afternoon out of sun, had formed a noticeable MF crust.
