Snowpack

HS= 135 cm. Several weak layers (4f- fist) surrounded by crust layers (1F - pencil). Very stiff layer near bottom of pack (at ~ 35 - 65 cm above ground, pencil). Very weak layer (4F - Fist) at very bottom, 0 - 35 cm. Most alarming was a 4F faceted layer at 80 - 95 cm on top of a crust layer at 80 cm. Compression test failed here, CT14 Q1, very clean shear for a 28 deg slope. Two other fist layers from 65 - 80 cm. Aspect of WSW, slope angle of 28 deg, elev about 11,000'.
