Snowpack

The recent storm snow has settled and been windblown into a supportable slab. Below treeline the slab is mainly 4F in stiffness, but more like 1F in open wind-affected areas. Near treeline the slab is 1F, and above treeline the slab is 1 to P. Snowpack can generally be described as 15 cm of new F storm snow from the last two nights. This sits on the slab from the weekend storm, which is 20 cm thick. This rests on a variety of weak layers. Surface hoar in sheltered N'erly aspects, mutliple crust-facet layers on S'erly aspects. Large (6mm) depth hoar for the bottom 60 cm of the snowpack everywhere.
