Weather
At the start of my tour is was snowing S-1. By the time I made it to ridge-line the sky were clearing and 6in of new snow had fallen in the area. Temps were mild and winds were light. Snow was drifting in above treeline. Temps dropped later in the afternoon.
Snowpack
6in HST fell on near surface facets and crusts near and above treeline. Below the new snow was a 40cm layer of rounding particles, 4 finger trending to 1 finger. The bottom 20cms of the snowpack consisted of facet/crusts combinations. In some areas a K hard Ice layer rests above the ground.
