Weather

Broken to overcast in the am w/ a few light snow showers. Short periods of sunshine. Study plot high 26 at 15:00 and ridge top high 15 at 16:00. W/SW winds averaging 20mph with G30s/40s. Control team observed NW winds in the afternoon that were not reported by weather stations.

Snowpack

Am: H2D: 5” w/ .35” SWE, HN24: 9” HST: 16” HS: 100” Storm Total: 22” w/ 1.9” SWE. HST settled to 14.5” HS to 98” by 16:45. Snow pack settled throughout the day with ski pen 20-40cm’s. Very few signs of instability and stability improved throughout the day. Cracking in the top 6” in new storm snow. Lower elevation southerlies got a touch moist but overall stayed mostly dry.

2 x SS-N-R1-D1-S in East Aspects in our terrain above treeline and 3 naturals on Ruby Mtn. 2 naturals on Owen. 2 naturals? in Anthracites, NW Bowl. Seem to be running on March 26th interface / crust w/ dust layer visible
