Weather

A uniquely calm and humid day today in RMNP. High thin clouds and temps just below freezing trending towards overcast from the east as the upslope moved in this afternoon. Light snowfall developing by 1600.

Snowpack

Multiple elevations and aspects observed in Tyndall Gorge. Overall, storm snow is settling noticeably with very little significant feedback from the snowpack. Overall, strength and structure of the snowpack is improving with many depths measuring over 2 meters and a rounding temperature regime at most locations observed, save the surface hoar formation in many areas near and below treeline up to 3mm in size. I would certainly describe it as low likelihood/high consequence here in the Park.
