Weather

Sunny skies in the morning with increasing clouds and gusty winds in the afternoon. Very warm temps and solar radiation affecting all aspects. Snowing lightly when we left around 2:30 pm.

Snowpack

Some slight crusts, especially when winds increased, but mostly heavy wet powder. The snowpack felt rotten under the weight of the last storm's snow. Observed many small slab and point release slides on our ride out, and one large point release that propagated across an ENE slope above skin track, setting off sympathetic point releases- slid 200' and created a very large debris pile 3-5' deep.
