Snowpack

Natural avalanches observed in steep terrain from large sluffs to destructive slabs. Storm slab is stiffer than anticipated with widespread cracking, sluffing an avalanching. Most avalanches running on facets on old snow surface, further and faster than expected.

Naturals on Ruby Thorton's SS-ASc-R1-D1.5-O FC-01/10 (35cm x 15m x 200m) Storm slab on old surface, ran to flats Candy's Coulior SS-N-R3-D1.5-O FC-01/10 (35cm x 250m x 150m) natural ran early this AM on sun crust, Bender to NC Knob Steep SS-ASc-R3-D1.5-O FC-01/10 (35cm x 55m x 35m) ran on old snow surface, facets above crust
