Mt Ogden - NE Bowl

Scattered to broken clouds. Moderate winds from the SW with strong gusts throughout the day.

In the Ogden NE bowl between 2200-2350m, probed a range of 165-280cm of HS. Snow was surprisingly light and consistent with little wind affect until the upper ridge. Roughly calf-knee high trail breaking.

Size 2 slab avalanche off of Ogden NE slopes (Picture 1), looks to be within the last 24 hours. It appears like there was a recent cycle of loose dry avalanches off of steep rocky NE features on Ogden. Numerous cornices growing and looming above.
