Avalanche Crest

ECTM on the 20th hit from elbow on W facing just below ridge in trees. 25-30 degree slope. Did not fully propagate. Snow above was fist for first 35, 4F for the rest. Not sufficiently slabby but very clean failure plane on the part of the extended column that went. Hand shears on S approach also had crust of similar depth and uneven/resistant fist/4F snow above ~65-70 cm. Photo attached from ECT is hazy from melting snow on the lens.
