pit dug on SE aspect in open trees, very thick crust around 80cm down. compression test yield two failures at 18cm, and 28 cm down on 18th(elbow) hit. 28cm layer slid off block and fell apart at 27th(shoulder) tap. very thick crust at 80cm down, failed at 35 hits.
