Skied W facing aspects doing laps from Highway from 1800m to1300m. Scattered clouds. Winds nil at valley, light at 1800m from SW. Temps - 4 at valley, - 6 at 1800m. Trace of new snow. Felt trace of WS starting at around 1800m but no other direct alpine obs Probed 135cms HS at 1550m, 180cms at 1800m. 40cms fist overlaying 30cms of mixed forms. Nothing really noteworthy with glaring exception of 15- 20cms of basal facets specially around usual tree wells, rocks. Ski cut and face planted convexities with nil reactions. Snow quality acceptable
