Had planned to head up Helena Ridge, but as it seemed about 100 snowshoes had headed up to rockbound lake, we opted for a tour down Chickadee Valley with a plan just to enjoy the scenery and good company.

Watched a group of three ski a North facing slope in Chickadee Valley. About half an hour hour later, witnessed a natural size 2 wet loose avalanche run over the groups uptrack. Heard close to around 10 avalanches release in the afternoon, between noon and 2PM. Lots of recent avalanche activity on South facing slopes within last couple of days, scrubbing to ground in many cases.
