Great day skiing the old ski run slopes on Cokely. Very windy, poor visibility, and wind affected snow at the top of the old ski area so we did not go up towards the summit. We also noted debris from some recent small natural slides off the N aspect of the summit block. In more wind sheltered areas the snow conditions were great, with relatively light powder up high and heavier powder towards the bottom of the hill. One skier in our party set off a small slab when he inadvertently skied over a windlip due to flat lightning conditions in a steeper section on one of the ski runs on the N aspect of Cokely (seen in second photo). The windlip collapsed when he skied over it and trigged 5-10 cm deep slab with a crown that propagated about 5 m beyond the original wind lip. The skier was not buried or injured in the incident.
