-
Skiing small and short features in the Seymour backcountry, in the area between Brockton and Pump peak, with fresh snow and ongoing snow falling limiting visibility. We had chosen conservative terrain as we had heard of small avalanches being triggered by skiers that morning, and visibility was poor. We triggered a few small avalanches on leeward slopes that were about 5m wide, the width of the section we were skiing. The avalanches were overall inconsequential for our party, and mainly limited by the fact that the slopes we were skiing were very short, and not very wide. However, we suspect on a longer and wider slope, they would have propagated further and caused potential harm.
