It was busy at hermit meadows today: 2 groups were heading to Mt Rogers, 1 group to Swiss and 3 were planning to ski Lone Pine. Sunny day, good visibility for most of the day, moderate wind (S) at ridge line, otherwise calm wind. We skinned from Hermit parking to 2400m on powder, above 2400m it was wind affected. There was enough snow to skin on Tupper’s ridge. No signs of instability on the way up. We ski down to 1700m on 15-30cm of powder. Below 1700m (at the junction of Lone Pine), 15cm of snow was covering old avalanche debris.
