Weather

Clouds moved in during the morning hours covered the sky by noon. Gusty SW winds. Cold.

Snowpack

Winds over the past few days had worked the storm snow into a cohesive slab even in relatively sheltered below treeline terrain. Snowpack is now supportable to boots, foot pen ~30cm. Cornices lined the ridge above Marble bowl. No avalanches more recent than Wednesday's reported slides were observed on North or East aspects, and no signs of instability were noted during our tour.

Avalanche

These slides probably ran on the 26th.
