Snowpack

Skied James peak Sunday May 9. The wind was intense (long plumes off of James and Bancroft summits) until around 10:30 AM when it just stopped. The snow was excellent, a crust that softened up perfectly to allow for smooth turns. There was no evidence of slides, except at the bottom near that steep bowl right next to the "glacier". There was some minor loose wet slide activity from previous days originating at the cornice.=
