Weather

mostly overcast skies with brief periods of visibility. Cold and calm. Snowing S-1 to S2 on and off all day.

Snowpack

The snowpack in this portion of the zone is about 60% the depth of the deeper portions of the zone in the south and west towards Schofield Pass and Marble. Average HS around 1 meter. Surface hoar is present about 40 cm down. The top 40 cm is soft storm snow. Below the surface hoar is a soft mid-pack slab around 30cm thick, and below that are facets and well developed depth hoar. We experienced numerous large collapses on the depth hoar layer, and remotely triggered a slide with a snowmobile from the road cut.
