Weather

Variable snowfall rate through the day. Visibility ranged from being inside the cloud to several miles. Winds were light, almost entirely calm below treeline.

Snowpack

Snowpack consists of ~20cm new snow over ~50cm of decomposing fragments. Could not find the surface hoar that had been previously observed at the old snow surface. New snow appeared to be bonding well. Had two very small (<10ft area) collapses, perhaps on a density change in the new snow. Little to no wind effect. Very little slab development in the near and below treeline terrain we investigated.
