Snowpack

A good freeze last night has locked up surface layers. The top 1 cm is starting to soften where the sun is hitting it. An ECT test targeting the old snow/new snow interface at the bottom of the Waterhole #2 path yielded no results. ECTX. The interface between April's mid-month storm and the old snow from March is obvious, and delineated by a stout, dirty crust about 10-12 cm thick. Underneath, the snowpack is moist, and composed of rounds and melt-forms. I did not go to ground.
