Weather

Fairly strong winds, even at the valley floor. Low last night at 10,200 feet was 50F. At 10 AM on the summit of 13,852 ft Crystal Peak it was 45F. Some lenticular clouds over the Continental Divide were a good indicator it would be a windy day. Smoke from western fires evident across the area

Snowpack

Even with a low temperature above freezing last night, snowpack saw an ok freeze. Started getting soft quickly though. Out on the margins of snowfields where snowpack is thinner, it was unsupportive. Lots of evidence of small WLN activity out of steep terrain and cliff areas. A lot Suncups forming on lower angle terrain, some rain runnels noted in the odd steep couloirs

Avalanche

Lots of small Wet Loose, all aspects, though one "Dirty" Wet slide off the north aspect of the east ridge of Pacific Peak, entrained a lot of mud, dirt & rock.
