Snowpack

Just got down from Skyway/County Line and thought I’d give you a little update … The CDOT snow stake (@ Skyway) showed 28” and the snowpack in the area around the x-country trail was averaging 45-50cm At county line x-county area the snow pack was running < > 50-55 cm at 8 different sites. Grand Mesa lodge and the visitor center by Alexander lodge had around 45 cm All areas had a light crust (weak) of about 2-3 mm and the wind has been blowing all day from the SSW < > 15-20 mph. There was quite a bit of snow being transported to the NE and some of the SW facing slopes were getting scoured off. When I get a chance I’ll try to get over to the Collbran area (N. of Collbran) and take a look at that. If there is anything else I can do for you let me know. Powderhorn is not open yet so I have some free time to run around.
