Weather
Past 24 hours saw 0.3" of rain at my house at 10,200 ft, mostly late day and overnight. Low temperature at 10,200 feet only fell to 34 F. Warmest overnight low in a long time. My total snow stake dropped from 22" at 7am the morning of the 4th to 18" at 7am on the 5th.
Snowpack
Rain on snow to ~ 11,000 feet. New snow quickly mounted to 2 to 3" at 11,400 feet. This snow was very moist, over 10% water as an estimate. It was draining into the upper snowpack as it quickly melted this morning. Off the well trodden path it was not supportive
Avalanche
Two Wet Slabs & one Wet Loose ran out of Tenmile Canyon over the last 18+ hours. Rain on snow doing no favors. Will try to get pictures on Wednesday morning.
