Snowpack
Putney Peak, 11,800' NW, 32 degree slope 70-80cm HST The slope had collapsing and cracking as I skinned up it, after digging a pit and filling it back in. Forgot my saw on my first day out, so no tests done.
Avalanche
Prospect Gulch, 12,000' NE, small 38 degree rollover. Appeared to be skier triggered size D1, either late on 11/11 or early 11/12. 20m wide, 50cm deep, and ran 20m downhill. Ran on crust overlying 10-40cms of small facets. Slab was 4F-1F hardness. Also saw a small D.5 from kicking cornice. Both avys appeared to be wind slab form during from the recent storm snow.
