Weather
Skies completely cleared today. Temps colder. Winds are still strong in the alpine but decreased from the past 3 days. The widespread transport has subsided, but there were still flags seen from the higher peaks. There's certainly less available snow for transport.
Snowpack
Sustrugi, scalloped and eroded from E-S-W. Protected or catchment areas have localized wind-drifts. Some northerly aspects near & above treeline are heavily cross or top-loaded with fresh wind slabs sitting on old persistent slabs / facets and seem to be teetering on the edge. Northerly aspects below TL have 5-6 in of new over facets - not much slab.
Avalanche
New recent avalanche observed - outlined below. Elsewhere, good vis afforded a fresh view of all the wind damage. We saw features that were hard to distinguish whether we were seeing wind-sculpt or old crowns...
