Westerly winds, strong in morning but eased in early afternoon. Moderate wind loading ongoing. Scattered clouds, mild temperatures out of the wind.
Snowpack
Near treeline, the recent snow is forming soft drifts. Easy, clean shears on the old snow surface, but slabs were very small and isolated.
Southeast aspects near and below treeline were moist by mid-day, and began to crust over rapidly in the afternoon. Minor cracking in the recent snow, breaking on the solid melt-freeze crust at the old snow surface.
