Weather
We have had ~ 120 hrs of above freezing temps below 9500' with several hours of rain the evening of 3-18, turning to sleet wet/ snow this morning 3-19.
Snowpack
The Snowpack on the lower mtn averaged ~ 50- 85 cm. The aspects range from east thru north to northwest. These 4 areas include terrain that has been mitigated/ ski packed/open to the public. 2 of the 4 areas have been open since end of December cycle. On 3-17 Snow Safety observed free water in the snowpack and full depth ski penetration collapse. We began AE mitigation.
Avalanche
Since 3-17 we have recorded 15 full track R-2 to R-4 D2 WS AE that have terminated on roads and catwalks. All roads/catwalks were closed at the time. Additionally we have recorded ~20 smaller avalanches in closed terrain w/ ski cutting and explosives.
