West slope of New York Mtn in Eagle county. We observed a facet layer about 12" under surface. Quite wind loaded near and above tree line. Below tree line was protected and where we felt most comfortable. Did not ski or travel on slopes above 30 degrees. Aspect: W Elevation: Near treeline
