Temps were unseasonably cold; hovering near zero at ridgetop and 10F at the lower study plot. Ridgetop winds were light, picking up this afternoon with gusts in the 30's from the W to SW. 1" accumulated during the day on top of the 6" that fell overnight, bringing this week's snow totals to 35" and 2.5" of water.
Snowpack
No signs of instability today on steep E through S through W aspects near and above treeline in our operation. A brief clearing this morning allowed a look around the Ruby Mountains, and we did not observe any new avalanche activity.
