Weather

Obscured to overcast all day. Temps rose to 1°F at 12,000 ft and 9°F at 10,000 ft. Winds gradually picked up through the day, from 10 mph in the morning to low 20’s in the afternoon, with gusts in the 30’s. Moderate snow transport at times. Very light snowfall in the afternoon with 1” accumulation.

Snowpack

On west and south aspects, storm snow from the last few days (~4-8”) resting on melt-freeze surfaces that were exposed after Friday’s wind event. Good bonding with no sluffing or signs of instability on steep slopes. Snow starting to feel slabbier at high elevations by the end of the day.
