Wind stripped and shallow cross loading with recycled snow drifted morning of. Assumed some surface four or near surface festive a.m. would be the sliding surface.

Avalanche

Descending from col on dirt/rock by foot, skiing tree patch to about 11,400' where ski cut produced small long running avalanche. We re ascended our route to the much less windy and sunny east side. 2"- 12" by 40' wide ran for 800'
