Snowpack
Warm temperatures and strong winds have greatly affected the snowpack at all elevations. Alpine terrain continues to look hammered and sought surface slabs were found on most slopes. Warm temperatures created wet surface snow on slopes affected by the sun in the afternoon near and below treeline. Above treeline moderate winds kept sunny slopes firm. We can expect crusts on most slopes in the morning.
