Weather

Air temp: 10degC, Bluebird day with 5-10mph wind from the west. 110deg bearing E-SE. Aspect skied was <30deg. Pit location: 25-30deg.

Snowpack

New Snow: <1in. Relatively hard windslab/breakable crust on surface. 15cm into snowpack: weak facet layer, no propagation but collapsed at 10-15 taps. 65cm into snowpack: weak facet layer, propagation on tap 22, entire column sheared/failed on sugary facets (see photo & video) Column: ECT (90x30cm) to a depth of 122cm. Snowpack continued down another 125cm via probe test (rough estimate). General notes: Most of the snow was 1F and relatively cohesive between the weak facet layers.
