Intermittent snow squalls and very gusty.
Snowpack
Dug a pit on a similar east-facing aspect at about 9200'. CT14 on the surfact hoar about 15" from the surface.
Avalanche
Slide likely triggered remotely as we gained the ridge from behind. Or slid naturally earlier that morning. Slope had not slid when we spied the slope from the road earlier that morning.
