Weather
Few high thin clouds at sunrise, gradually increasing till 11 AM when they were mid to high overcast. SW winds were keeping temps coolish at the ridge line. Skies began to clear off at 11:30.
Snowpack
Snowpack has started to go through some melt freeze cycles. Low temps Saturday night were mid to low 20's providing a good freeze on open slopes. In the forest the freeze was not so solid. Just below the 11,600' ridgeline, on SE aspect, some areas of the snowpack had only a weak, just supportable melt freeze crust where the over all depth was around or less than 3 feet deep. Deeper snow depth areas fairly solid & supportable crust just under recent snow. At noon snow surface was moist, but not wet.
