Snowpack
Widespread avalanche activity from recent storm. Activity noted on all aspects and elevations, though most activity was near and below treeline. A robust cycle occurred on LHP today, where dozens of small to medium sized slides ran. The cycle was seemingly triggered by the heavy snow followed by warming- most of these slides were on slopes that catch sun (E-S-W). Lots of wet snow there. This will help the snowpack gain strength once it refreezes, but this will take some time- still gooey and weak for now. Saw a handful of naturals on RMP as well (E, W, N below tl), though poor visibility this morning hindered observation. Good results with mitigation. Detailed avalanche observations to be entered at a later date.
