Snowpack
Wind effected snow and hard slabs on lee catchments above tree line. Exposed grass abound above and below tree line. The overnight snowfall was dense and reactive in steep terrain. The snow below the recent storm is almost cohesion-less, and very weak.
Avalanche
One small pocket released under foot, below tree line on a NW aspect at the top of Cemetary. Slope angle was around 35-40 degrees. Storm snow. 6 inches deep SS 10' x 50' long. ASc-SS-R1-D1-I. Shallow snow, 50-80cm on west aspect below treeline. The snow below the recent storm is almost cohesion-less, and very weak.
