Temps in the 20's, winds from the west, and partly cloudy.

Snowpack

There was about 12-15" of new snow on top of a crust layer. It looks like the skier triggered that new snow layer above him as he was traversing.

Avalanche

The slide occurred on the eastern face of South Diamond Peak on Cameron Pass. The slide looked to be contained by the new snow layer but ran several hundred feet. Skier recovered and skied the remaining slope to the north of the slide. Fortunately there were not injuries.
