Clear skies, warm temperatures, extreme solar radiation. Generally east facing above timberline aspects.

Once the sun came up the warm temperatures and solar radiation quickly made the snow isothermic which caused for a lot of wet slide activity.

Many avalanches on Maroon Peak. SE to NE aspects D1, R1 to D2 R2 Also many wet avalanches on North Maroon. S to E aspects D1, R1 to D2.5 R2
