Windy spring day.

Snowpack

A firm crust was observed on any slope that had recently melted under warm temperatures and sunshine. Winds kept exposed slopes cold and firm until later in the afternoon at higher elevations. Some slopes didn't soften at all. Dust was widespread on the surface of the snow in this area. At lower elevations the snow was very soft and punchy. No new natural or human triggered avalanche activity was observed.
