Snowpack

On southerly aspects Snow depths ranged from 1' to 2'. Structure is good, consisting of denser mixed forms or crusts from early December snow at the base, with 8-12" of low density snow at the surface. This area was dirt before December storms. Surface forms are precip particles (with early near surface faceting), shallow wind slab, or sastrugi. We skied slopes up to 45 degrees with no signs of instability.
