Winds picked up through the day in front of the next storm

Snowpack

Early Storms from Oct / Nov have left us with a generally shallow snowpack with an average of 16" though very variable due to Winds. Some areas are scoured to the ground while other areas have deeper drifts up to 30". Southerlies have a somewaht consolidated structure with a thin crust. Westerlies have a faceted unconsolidated structure with some areas a 5cm crust on top of 1mm facets. Snow began today and our first layer of concern THE NOV 19 CRUST / INTERFACE
