Avalanche
A widespread natural avalanche cycle has occurred in the Berthoud pass area over the last 48 hrs. Many, many slopes have run (D2-D3 range). This became very apparent as the clouds cleared out today. The south face of Mt Russel, many areas across the ridge between Russell and Stanley peaks, much of the Current Creek headwall, the Postage Stamp, and the XYZ chutes of Hidden Knoll have all avalanched recently. The avalanches appeared to all be natural, mostly occurred above treeline and some at treeline, and included north to east to south facing aspects.
