Weather
Skies were clear in the morning, but become obscured as snow started to fall. S-1 on and off throughout the day. Winds were light and solar influence was low.
Snowpack
The snow that has fallen over the past week is showing signs of bonding in most areas on south, southwest, north, and northeast slopes. The new snow is boding well to the rough bed surface that was created prior to this past storm with the prolonged period of high pressure. High in the alpine there are isolated pockets of firm wind slab that has created a smooth surface the new snow is not sticking to. In these areas you can case a small avalanche by sliding sideways with your skis. The new snow has formed a creamy 4 finger slab that show little signs of inability, but I do believe could produce a soft slab avalanche on very steep slopes. Today's intermittent snow showers will do little to change avalanche danger.
